Judging by his lines in Islands of Wakfu, he had the Eliatrope civilization destroyed at least twice before being stopped a third time on the Planet of Twelve. If I had to describe season 1 and 2, I would say they're both 'okay' in both their delivery and production value. The artwork is extremely detailed for a kids cartoon, but that sort of falters a bit whenever people are just hanging around and talking. The voice-acting is also sorta 'meh.' Not terrible, but not good either. I found myself skimming through the first two seasons, watching most of the plot and then skipping a lot of the filler stuff.Season 3 is a different beast entirely. I would call it insurmountably better than the first two seasons.

You can look up the original versions on Youtube or something with subtitles. They're pretty good overall and sort of set the stage for season 3.Season 3 is the only season I watched in its entirety without skimming through stuff, it's just that much better (imo). The animation, voice acting (while different depending on the language you watch it in), the production value and the overall quality is just SO much higher. Overall, I just found Season 3 to be much more enjoyable.
